The Role

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, this role is critical to the future growth ambitions for Bikmo. Responsible for marketing campaigns, content, and channel strategy across Bikmo’s key markets (currently UK, Ireland, Germany and Austria) you will have two marketing executives to assist bringing the Bikmo brand to target audiences in a compelling, authentic way. You’ll need to be organised, and capable of positively influencing people across the business, direct reports and external stakeholders. The business is growing rapidly and the Marketing Manager role can grow with it as we expand into new activities and territories.

Specific Tasks

  • Campaign / Project management and implementation.
  • Owned channel communications: newsletters, blogs
  • Owned channel social media planning and execution.
  • Paid media planning, executing and evaluating.
  • Google analytics testing and optimising, working with agencies where required.
  • Partnership marketing point of contact: supporting brief creation through to partner deliverables.
  • Ambassador Marketing to drive content, awareness and referrals.
  • Event planning and execution, if appropriate.
  • Line manager for UK/Ireland and Germany/Austria marketing executives.

Compliance with advertising regulations, including financial promotions needs to be managed - training will be provided on these aspects.

Skills + experience - what we'd like to see

 

The ideal candidate will have a proven record of marketing in an area of the bike or adventure sports world. It won't just be a job - to get under the skin of our target audience, you need to be one of us and live it. We need someone who can inspire others while being able to step into the detail of digital marketing experimentation and reporting. You’ll need to be organised, and capable of positively influencing people across the business, direct reports and others. The ideal candidate is:

  • At least 3 years experience marketing in the cycling or outdoor sports sector.
  • Brand led - connecting with our audience and inspiring them to choose and share Bikmo.
  • Creative - ideas are everything, and we will excellent creative resource to make them happen, plus some we do ourselves!
  • Innovative + ambitious - how do we create a big impact on limited budgets?
  • Data focussed - you know data, understand key metrics and are nimble in google analytics and other tools.
  • FB + Adwords fluent - understand and manage targeting, audiences and campaigns.
  • Exceptional time management, communication and dealing with deadlines .
  • Confident to offer alternative points of view, considerate enough to respect other viewpoints, and decisive enough to make daily decisions in a fast paced, supportive environment.
  • English fluency is mandatory, German would be advantageous.
